Despite the morning rain, all forecasts point to golf this evening. Cart path only? Only Jason at the Nest knows. Regardless, be ready for some SpongeBob Splash Golf tonight at the Nest.

I’d also save the complaining when it comes to the conditions. Here are the average scores through four weeks:

As you can see, our nicest two weeks weather-wise, Week 1 and Week 4, produced the worst two average scores…around 50 strokes per golfer. Easily the worst weather week, Week 3, yielded the lowest scores. Grab your umbrellas, gentleman, looks like all us lousy golfers are mudders, too.

Gentleman (using that term as loosely as the dictionary allows), sorry for the delay this week in getting scores and standings online. Been a busy week/weekend in the Booher household.

I’ve added a new page to the Results+Skins page. There is a link to the Week 3 match scores. It might be hard to read but its better than nothing at this point. You’ll see everyone’s gross shots, the adjusted score for the match, and points earned in the match. Any mistakes, please let me know. I’m working on getting Weeks 1 and 2 up there in the next week or so.

Another iffy weather week means another week of iffy forecasting and armchair meteorology. Complaints about decisions regarding the postponement of golf can be emailed to the BOSS at gogetadegreeinmeteorologythen@torreypinesgolfleague.com. In all seriousness, though, if Jason at Eagles Nest tells us we can’t play, we can’t play.

The schedule has been updated to reflect last week’s postponement. So far we have the season reaching its end before Labor Day Weekend but weather may likely change our plans.

Thanks to everyone who reached out with scoring questions after last week. It’s possible the BOSS can make mistakes and the TPGL runs in a much more transparent way when compared to the ginger-headed operation at 345 Park Avenue.

Finally, the Columbus Blue Jackets play Game 4 Thursday night at 7:30 pm. After golf festivities will likely include watching the game for those of you interested.
